More Sketches

Note: I'm aware I haven't had a new Ishmael comic in a few weeks. I'm still considering what do do with that, and I'm considering adding new things to this blog, but since I hate to whine about how I'm not updating, here are some drawings I did recently.

These drawings are based on photos I've found elsewhere, but I'm really trying to think in terms of the shapes and construction of what I'm drawing rather than trying to be a human photocopier. More importantly, I've tried to look at the drawings and figure out where I could improve (Click on the images to enlarge them).

I'm sure that anyone who's actually seen technical drawings of gears is cringing at the very sight of these pictures, but at least I've learned the importance of rotating the page while drawing a picture so I can make sure it looks consistent from different angles.

Ishmael #38.5: "Deja Vu"

Here's a link to their previous conversation. Man, my drawing style has changed.

This verges on being some of the most pointless dialogue I've ever written to meet my own Friday deadline, and as such, I don't deem it worthy of full comic-dom.
