Oddly enough, I just read an article on research which measured the correlation between quality of sleep and aptitude at math. The article claimed that the results provide overwhelming evidence of the importance of sleep. However, it didn't give any indication of how the researchers distinguish this from the the importance of doing well in math, which, presumably, would lead one to sleep more soundly than, say, flunking out.
